Welcome to the PDX Home Brewers Club!

Joomla! LogoPBC's mission is to have fun promoting the art and knowledge of home brewing. Although PBC's home is in Beaverton, Oregon, all are welcome!
PDX Home Brewers club is based out of Beaverton, Oregon and is open to one and all who share the common interest: to share and learn about the wondrous art of homebrewing. In our attempt to promote the hobby even more, we created pdxbrewers.com. Here at PDX Brewers.com you can connect with other brewers to exchange ideas, techniques, equipment, recipes, and maybe even a few samples...:-)

We meet monthly at Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub in Tigard. A great place to hang on the west side. Also we have many club events including group homebrewing, brewery tours, BBQ's, and alot of other homebrewing and beer related stuff. Our next meeting is coming up soon so visit this webpage for details or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We also offer a club chat where most of our members hang out. If you would like to give the email chat a try, just click here. For more information on membership, dues etc , see the about tab.

If you are ready to become a member, just create a user account through the member logon on the left and follow the instructions.  Once your dues have been paid your account will be activated.  You can pay dues online or at the next meeting.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jim aka Hopdadi, Founder and Webmaster.

Thanks to the 2008 Board

E-mail Print PDF
As 2008 draws to a close I want to send out a special thanks to our 2008 board.

We depend on the board for so much our club has to offer.  I personally am thankful for not having to lay out more of my personal time and money to make sure the club works, and everyone is satisfied for what the club does.  Proof of the great leadership is in our membership renewal numbers.  We have had a 85 percent membership renewal.   Even though our membership has actually decreased by 3 this year our board makes the club better and better every year.

The 2008 board also had one hell of a year.  With our member disputes, a couple of business discussions, bylaw updates, Iron Brewer money issues, it all worked out just fine and we couldn't have made it this far without you guys.  Not to mention the fantastic meetings that they gave us.  And the committees that were formed.

I am super excited for 2009.  We again have a fantastic board to only improve on the 2008 boards ideas and dreams.

Thanks so much to Mark, Chad, Garrett, Dan and Paul for showing great leadership in 2008.  Also thanks to  the committees that helped the club excel.

At last, I also wish to thank Steph, Ron, Jim, Garrett and Scott for accepting the nomination for leadership positions on our board and to help us brew better, educate us, have fun and to make our club prosper in 2009.

I hope all that read this sees what I do and thanks those who serve our club.

Holiday Party

E-mail Print PDF

Hi gang, it is that time of year again… that’s right, I am talking about the Holiday Party, celebrating the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one. This is a member’s only event (guests welcome), to be held on January 17th at Max’s Fanno Creek Brew Pub in Tigard at 7:00 pm.

Remember to bring money for raffles; as usual we have some great prizes! Appetizers are on the club, but dinner and beer will be the responsibility of the members.

Also, remember to bring your entries for the Collaborator Competition as the judging will take place at the party.

For those interested, we will do a bottle swap. Bring a bottle of good commercial beer (Approx $10) wrapped or otherwise hidden. When you get there, drop off your beer, and we will give you a ticket. A separate raffle will be held for the bottles. For those waiting to join us, with few exceptions, you are welcome to attend the February meeting. We look forward to meeting you.

Max's can be found at 12562 SW Main St in Tigard. They are located on Main Street in Old-Town Tigard, next to Fanno Creek near the A-Boy hardware store. Their number is 503 624 9400
